Sleep is such an important biological need. We often take it for granted until we become parents and our sleep gets interrupted and we spend days and nights trying to get our little ones to nod off. Our wonderful teacher Claire Holness from Sweetbeginnings Babycare will be sharing some sleep insights tonight as part of our Nurture University, including sleep biology and some of her sleepy tips during the early months of baby's life, she will also share with you her love, care and calm approach to gentle and holistic sleep coaching. Join her live at 9 PM (GMT) today.

Looking forward to this xxx

🙋‍♀️ Will definitely be tuning into this #tiredmummyhere 😴

Father’s are so important to babies and families. I think some time as mothers we try and do it all ourselves or look to other women to help us and don’t lean into the power of our own partners. Studies are now showing that men being more involved with babies and more present for women after birth can reduce PND. It makes sense that if a women is supported, it may help her adjust into motherhood more easily. PND is not as simple as that but sharing and being vulnerable with our partners could help. I think women put a lot of pressure on themselves to have it all together in motherhood to be seen as coping to the world and their closest. Getting your partner involved in baby massage not only gives you some time to recharge for yourself but produces oxytocin and vasopressin which helps with bonding. It’s okay to ask for help, to not feel you are coping and to not be perfect. You don’t have to do it all alone and letting Dad’s help has so many benefits for the whole family. Anyone relate? Those early days are a total blur. Remember to take it easy. It’s okay to completely pause your life and just be. Be kind to yourself today. Love creates love ❤️💫❤️ pic @thekiteprogram ... See MoreSee Less
